Hi ladies,
It's been quite a while since I last posted. I've been staying away from all that's hair (growth) related and neglecting my hair a little bit this past year... until now.
I have coarse 4a/b relaxed hair. It's been about APL for the past year or so. I usually get my hair relaxed every 10 to 12 weeks and can go a little bit longer if I get a braids or a sew-in once I can't deal with my roots anymore.
I think my last relaxer was early September '09. I don't WANT to relax AT ALL until spring because I really want to see the texture of my natural hair and I'm not feeling the whole salon thing anymore.
My question is: during the times when I do have to comb through/detangle my new growth, is my hair going to break A LOT? Is it going to be like transitioning? Am I better off getting a relaxer to avoid this?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
