Do I need to buy end papers since they're sponge? How do I use them?

There are many threads on this.

Basically, some like end papers, some don't. Many say that it does make the ends smoother, while others say shaking the excess water from the roller before rolling helps with frizzies. I personally don't have time for end papers when I'm using caruso's.

Some use setting lotion in the water for a better hold, I use mizani humidity resistant hairspray prior to inserting the rollers.

It's a matter of trail and error and what works best for you.

Thank you! Have you noticed any breakage from the sponge or does the steam combat that?

Also, up to many months post do you use them?

I use end papers. More because I want to avoid breakage than for keeping my ends un-frizzy.

I use Caruso's on freshly relaxed hair as well as on needs-to-be-relaxed hair.
