Hi Ladies I have done a search on this subject already but I could not find an answer. Is there a way to be notified if someone quotes you with a question? I ask this question because I was just in a thread where someone asked me a question 2 weeks ago and I did not see it until today erplexed

If you find out, let me know. Most people will PM you too if they really need an answer and ask you to please return to the thread to answer. Otherwise, they probably get their answer elsewhere so never even notice that you never answered. Sometimes they never returned to the thread themselves ...so I wouldn't sweat it. If you do answer, the thread gets bumped up anyway so if they were waiting for a response, they'll find it.

Or you can do what I do: PM them a link to your response.

You can search your username (be sure to click the "show posts" dial) and the results should yield each time you were mentioned or quoted. HTH!

I kinda hope they don't coz I'm already a pack rat and sometimes my inbox is full when an important PM is trying to get to me, so I have to clean house to make room for it. So imagine if I got a PM for every quoted post

Sometimes quotes are just saying, ITA. I'd hate to go to a thread thinking I had to answer something only to find I wasn't needed. I already find it hard to keep up with new threads let alone having to return to old ones redundantly.

I think people who really need answers can very well bump up the thread (quoting themselves) or send a PM. That's been working nicely as far as I've seen. Otherwise, I guess they'll get their answer whenever you happen to venture back. I don't think anyone loses sleep over not being answered right away. If they do, then they'll PM you so they can sleep well.
