Questions about natural/texlaxed ends

So Most people mistake my texlaxed hair for natural (I don't leave the relaxer on for very long) but I am realizing lately that my ends seem to be getting caught between themselves, alot. They have been getting snagged in the seat of my car, in my clothes, hairbands etc.. I have been retaining length nicely, but I don't want that the curly ends of my hair be the demise of my goals.

Any ladies with experience please chime in. (The only thing I can think of is protective styles to hide them)... is there any other method??

knots are the bane of my existence. protective styling can cut down on them buuuut i really have found no "solution." i make sure to wash my hair in sections and to dry in twists. putting castor oil on my ends also leads to less FATAL knots (you know, the knots you have to cut out)... anyone else?

i dont understand why theyd get snagged in your car or clothes though

Wearing stretched styles and trimming has helped my hair w/knots. I can't wear wash n go's on a regular basis or my hair is knot city.

I'm finding it a little hard to understand why your hair is getting caught in things but I am assuming that you wear your hair out most of the time so wearing it up might solve that problem.

I find that using any type of scarf or band for a puff usually will get caught up in all my hair. I have found that banana clips are the easiest way to have a cute hairstyle without all the trouble.

Maybe you just need to be more conscious about where your hair is so it doesnt get caught on things. If you really want your hair to grow then the problem is probably going to get worse as you have more hair to deal with so you have to learn to watch out for it when putting on a seatbelt and stuff like that. HTH

How often do you wet and detangle your hair? I know if I wore my hair out several days in a row without a co-wash to detangle, my ends would definitely be knotted together.
