granted, I don't even know my hair type, but that's not even the issue, LOL.

I want shine!!

How can I fake that shine. My ends are texlaxed and my roots, are natural, maybe about 3-4 inches. I'm protective styling alot, and I co-wash alot and I want a really good product that I can use when I pin it up that will give me a shine.

Thank you!!

Carol's daughter healthy hair butter is very good for shine. I don't know about pinning your hair up, but it makes my twists and braids very shiny.

I've heard about Carol's daughter and have been meaning to look into it.

But can it only be ordered online?

I would also like to know. Not only is my hair texlaxed, but its also a "dirty brown" (as one of my friends calls it!:perplexed lol)....which makes it appear dull. I like the color of my hair and dont want to darken it, but the combo of it not being straight for the cuticles to lay down and it being brown instead of black, it refuses to shine. Maybe I should try a clear rinse. Does anyone know of a good one?

So elasta QP
Glycerin (does anybody have any experiences with this making their hair crunchy?)

what pomades do people use?

Fantasia IC products? Is this a gel? conditioner?

And for the EQP products do I need to use the hair butter And hte glaze?

Honey Does it for me. Whenever I want shiney hair. I add a good dollop of honey to my deep conditioner. It keeps my hair gleaming.

I use Natural Oasis Herbal Finisheen Spray in addition with some type of serum ..

I am a cone user

Ok, I've tried the castor oil before, but it gave me alot of buildup. I guess I'm lazy, LOL.

I purchased the Elasta QP, even after the lady at the store told me it wouldn't work in my hair, and maybe if I relaxed 100% straight it would work better. especially since she was seeing me with about 5 months of new growth.

I also got suave cheapie conditioner because it was like $2 and I was told it's good for cowashes.

So I'll see how that goes. Tonight will be braiding night, before I go back tomorrow.

Thanks for your help ladies!!
