Possible Dumb Question Alert:
You've been warned.

Okay, I dyed my hair on Sunday with a permanent dye (Revlon Colorsilk)
Followed with the clear Colourshines.

If I use a clarifying shampoo this weekend when I wash/d.c. will I strip any color out of my hair or just the cones n stuff from the products i'm using this week?

thanks in advance! :)

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about stripping the colour if you used a permanent dye. It's just going to remove any product residue you may have. Be sure to condition well afterwards though, some clarifying shampoos can really strip your hair and leave it feeling like straw.

You shouldn't have a problem but I would hold off. If you do dilute it.

How did the colorsilk work for you? I have been looking at it at the store.

Cosigning. It's permanent so you won't be leaching color or anything like you would with a rinse.: Thinking back to my blue water Colourshines Black Orchid days.

Since its the first wash afterward, you might lose some of the color that didn't quite deposit fully and that may affect the vibrancy of your original color-- but your color for the most part is there to stay. And that's normal anyway, color always tends to lose vibrancy over the course of a few washes. Your color will stay stronger, longer if you keep the super strong pooings infrequent.

Thanks for the responses.
The color silk worked well. And was so inexpensive!
I'll post photos this weekend hopefully.
My hair was a brownish color w/ some lightbrown pieces.
Now it's a deep blackest black but not blueish.

I hope shampooing doesn't take much of the vibrancy away. I'm digging the rich blackness.

I will clarify monthly I assume so I hope it doesn't wreck my hair.
