Coils coils & more coils!
I have never used this product before, but I would like to try it.

I see that a good number on this board use it, and recommended it highly. I was using keracare's leave in conditioner...but I don't really care for it. It's the first time that I'm using leave-ins...and I'm clueless!

I was wondering where I can purchase it? I haven't been able to find it in my local area yet. Do any of you purchase Salerm21 products online? What are the ingredients? Thanks...

I buy Salerm 21 at my local BSS, however you can purchase it online at Metrobeauty.com. It's a very good leave in with an heavenly smell.

The ingredients are as follows: Aqua(water), Propylene glycol, cetyl alcohol, glycerin, cetrimonium chloride, cyclomethicone, serica(silk), panthenol, parfum (fragrance), amodimethicone, sodium methylparaben, citric acid, trideceth-12, disodium EDTA, C.I. 19140(FD&C yellow no.5)

I have been using it and I love it the smell is heavenly the
perfume scent does not bother me.
I am giving up nexxus headress and lanza leave for the salerm 21 for a while.
Just tried the salerm wheat germ conditoner and it is the
bomb the combo is great together.
I ordered my salerm 21 leave in from George at Uptown Beauty
in NY Here's the number 212-987-2480.

I just started using this an so far, I love it. I feel that it actually changes the texture of my hair (for the better). It's a keeper. I'll rotate my other leave-ins until they're finished.

Uptown Beauty is where I buy my hair products! That store is amazing. They have a large selection of Dominican hair products, and the prices aren't that bad either.

the Salerm 21 leave in. Yesterday was my third time in a row purchasing it. It makes your hair silky and smooth and more manageble.

Britt, I hear that you use it as a conditioner...is this so? If so, how long do you leave it on? It's funny that the bottle doesn't indicate whether or not it's a leave in or a reg. condit....I use it as a leave in...

I love this as a creamy leave-in. It leaves the hair very sleek and smooth with lots of body. It's one of my staples. I purchase mine online from Metro Beauty.

Thanks for all of the replys and the Metro Beauty link! :-) You guys have me too excited about trying this out...

Oh no, say it isn't so. I KNOW you have been very faithful to your Kiehl's, so this is defintley a huge surprise. Just goes to show how great this stuff is

It is a great leave in.

Does the smell bother any of you? I like it, but some family members told me that even though they like the results the smell was too perfumey.

These same people think Pantene and Fructis are loud, too.

Yeah when I first got it i used to use it as a conditioner but then I realized how fast the bottle would go by
ohwell.gif
, so to be more economical I use it as a leave in now. When I use to use it as a deep conditioner I would leave it on for atleast 15 minutes w/orw/o heat. I loved the results

I didn't notice the scent so i guess it doesn't bother me

Too bad the bottom is so small, other than that, i love it.

Technically you're suppsoed to rinse it out (turns out that it's not really a leave-in conditioner after all) but many use it as one.

I've tried it both ways and personally find it to be better as a leave-in conditioner.

The horrible thing is that this product has NO DIRECTIONS listed on the bottle. I do remember a fellow board member being in touch with Mr. Fernandez of Salerm and he told her that it is not a leave-in and should be rinsed out. She told him that hairdressers and users were using it as a leave-in. He said it stays in the hair up to 4 shampoos. I wish I could find what I did with this post. He said if hair was really damamged, you could leave a tiny amount in. I'll see if I can't locate the post, but if you don't hear back from me, you know what happened.

I LOOOVVEEE THIS, its the best leave in ever. All the beauticians I know do use it as a leave in and I doubt that it stays in your hair for up to 4 shampoos, thats actually their vials. You know the reconstructing one, its a liquid in like a glass tube. Those say it stays in your hair for several shampoos. Regardless, Im having great results with it and Im loving it.

Thanks for your reply hun. I find it kind of scary and confusing that there are no directions listed on the bottle. I'll be sure not to overdue it when using this product. Thanks again.

Allandra, when I use Salerm, I do it generously with no negative results. Just silky smooth hair. Enjoy

OT, but--
I've always been curious about the vials. I was thinking it was something like Fermodyl or Hask Placenta... The stylists at my cousin's salon mix the stuff in the Salerm vials with the relaxers.

Yeap, silky smooth hair here too. I just want to be 'careful' with it, just to be on the safe side. Thanks.
