Question for Rollersetters

I've only come close to maintaining the curls by pin curling at night. I don't use any products, just smooth each curl and pin with bobby pins. I tie up with a satin scarf (which is no where to be found come morning :drunk: )
The next day my curls are somewhat flat but still the best way I have found to maintain!
I'm looking forward to hearing what others have to say because it breaks my heart to get that great rollerset only to have it gone the next day!

This is about the only way it works for me, as well. Although it sometimes ends up flatter, it's the best I've been able to do. If it's too bad, I usually just pull it into an updo or something.

Usually after my rollerset I wrap it & cover with a satin scarf. If im trying to hold out until my next wash day & my hair is getting flat, i'll do a high ponytail with 1 roller. The next day I have more volume & it's more bumped than when I wrap it. HTH

bumping to hear if there are others that can speak on this...

I love my hair after I get the set but after I wrap it that night.....its all gone!

When you wrap at night dont comb the curls in the top and middle out... try to only wrap the sides and back and front around...that way the middle and top is still curly when you finger comb in the morn and the sides and back and front will be kinda sleek but still have a slight curl.

To maintain my rollerset, pin curls never work for me. Instead, I roll each curl individually with my fingers like I would with a roller, but without the roller. Then I use a clip to hold the hair in place, put on a bonnet then sleep. HTH

Great idea..thanks for sharing!

I re roll my hair every night. I have tried pin curling and I have tried wrapping. My hair is much better just re rolling. When I set my hair after washing I use rollers with clips but at night I use rollers with covers and my sections are better than when I a setting my hair. It works for me .

When I was relaxed and rollersets and roller wraps were my staple styles, I would either pin curl my hair at night or roll it up with soft rollers when I wanted to keep the curl. The rollers worked best. It wasn't all that comfortable, but it was beautiful.

That's my method...I just use the silver clips and recreate the curl without the roller.

I like day old, even two old roller sets. Since I use green and red rollers, the curls are very tight but looks great later. :yep:
