Some folks use it to moisturize their hair. There's a few threads on the forum in re: to shea butter for the hair.

I love shea butter. I use it to moisturize the hair. Sometimes after I have washed, I will warm some of it in my hands, and put it in the hair, and wrap with a scarf. After about twenty minutes, my hair is so soft, and stays moisturized for days. Also I use it when I do two strand twists. It has a natural hold, but the twists stay soft, and will stay in for at least a week, with daily rinsings.
