I have been looking, I just can't find my answer. Is honeyquat basically the same as glycerin? What I am really asking is this bad for me to use on my hair in a dry place?

Honeyquat is a humectant so you wouldn't want to use it in a dry place (less than 65% humidity).

I think there's an article on this somewhere...I'll be back.

Honeyquat will be great for you if you live in a dry place. It's supposedly more moisture attracting than glycerin, but I can't say I've noticed a diff between the two in that way. Honeyquat is far less sticky than glycerin, so that's a plus for me. IOW, no using on your hair won't hurt anything, IMHO. Just pour a bit in whatever you spray in your hair and voila.

A humectant pulls moisture from that which exists in the air....so you decide.

i know this is an old thread but as far as moisture goes and for those that use liquid panthenol, how can you compare the two? Which one is better
