Question 4 the MSM users.....

One of my friends who is a hair stylist told me about MSM a few years ago. One of her clients had health problems that was causing her to loose her hair. After a year on MSM her hair was longer and thicker than before she lost it. I immediately ran out and bought a bottle. It gave me the itches!! It made my skin crawl...so I stopped taking it. All these great things I keep hearing makes me want to try again (maybe it was the brand???) what kind does everyone take AND has anyone had this experience?

I didn't have that problem at all. It delayed my cylce about 4 days and made the flow heavier. It's does wonders on ng. I'm 9 wks post and the texture is softer and it's manageable. My hair is getting thicker, but could be due to other vitamins and taking extra care of it. The brand I use is Trimedica in the powder form. I'm going to stick with it.

I also take the Trimedica powder. The only side effect I have is a looser curl pattern to my new growth which actually makes stretching my relaxer easier. I've gotten the headaches in the past and I also had a couple of "vivid dreams" but other than that, it's all good.

I've taken many brands of MSM. I started with the Vitamin Shoppe brand 1000mg (3x/day), then went to GNC 1500mg (2x/day), and then the Trimedica MSM powder 4000mg. I never had any problems with any of them. I have noticed that my hair is softer but Im not sure if the curl pattern is looser.

It makes me very... um.... regular and makes my periods rough when I take too much. I used to take 7,000mg/day. When I cut back to 2,000mg/day all was well. :)

bumpppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

for me, my hair became about 30% or move thicker. this was about a year ago, just started them up again a few days ago, but this time im taking mad biotin with it lol. im trying hard to get my 3 inches!!!

I take the Jarrows brand, powder. For me the power is much better than the pill. It's great. The pain in my knee is completely gone and my hair is silky. Don't think it really did much to grow it but added to the general health of my hair. I also take it with Biotin.
