hey peeps, has anyone tried any of the new products from queen helen's royal curl line? there's a shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, oil, and the curl shaping creme (which i ordered online and it got here today)

^^this is the product (curl shaping creme) that i'm most interested in knowing about, i searched online but i don't see many reviews and i didn't see where it was talked about here either. i got my jar today, and beware of the wack slogan on the front, which says that it transforms kinks to defined curls and soft waves :ohwell:.

but yeah i plan on using it tonite when i do a twistout and will report back tomorrow with an update. it smells GREAT, and the texture is unlike any curl definiting product i've ever seen, its kind of runny which i like because it seems like it will melt right into your hair as you apply it.

here are the ingredients :
Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Pectin, Agave Rigida (Sisal) Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance (Parfum)

Hi ya! Just read some good reviews on these products. I'm sure I'll see them in the immediate future and when I do, I'll check out the sulfate-free shampoo, the curl creme and maybe the hair lotion. Thanks for posting!

i have that product. it has a strong flower scent. it is the texture of apple sauce, reminds me a little of kccc which i hate. i used it on a section of my hair o do a coil and then on another section to shingle. the coil turned out really nice with just a soft to medium hold which i like because i generally hate gels. the shingle section i didnt like so much. it did elongate my curls but made them look tacky and fake. it gave good shine though.

^^ i have tried kccc and i didn't like it at all either. i'm always on the hunt for a good twistout product and i'm hoping this one will be better than the ones i've tried....we shall see.

Hey you guys i'm back with an update, I just have to say this product is a keeper! i used it last nite after i washed and conditioned. i did a braidout with rollers on the ends (just four braids on my hair). first i used my leave in (shea moisture deep conditioner) then i applied the queen helene curling cream. at first i didn't like how it felt going on and i was concerned but when i woke up this morning i was amazed at how soft and defined my waves are. my crappy digital camera isn't the best quality so sorry if the pics aren't all that lol.

this is my best braidout ever. usually when i do braid outs my hair feels SO DRY, but this stuff has my hair feeling touchable and fluffy which i absolutely love.

i tried the conditioner yesterday and while i didnt hate it, it wont be a repurchase. it was very mediocre like vo5, good for co washig maybe for detangling but moisture wasnt THAT great. you know? it could have been any conditioner, there was nothing special about it.

i ordered mine on amazon.com
the whole foods in my area did not have this and i went or called three times and it was not in the store.

I bought this at Whole Foods about 2 weeks ago. Its definitely worth the $7.99. It made my curls look nice. It was a tad crunchy, but not like gel.

It looks like Kinky Curly, but minus the slip. KC is easy to apply because it has slip to it, but not this product. For $7.99 who cares?!! LOL KC is nice but it made my hair look jerry curlish.

I want to try the conditioner next

I agree with others that this is a nice product, especially for the price. It does have a strong floral scent to me, and it doesn't have the slip of KCCC (my HG styler).

Unfortunately, my hair doesn't like carbomer, so although it looked nice with it, I couldn't stand the way it felt. As one with chronic HIH disease, I can't use a product that makes hair feel dry-ish or strange, which is what this ingredient does for me. But for others without this sensitivity, you can't beat the price for the size!

This is actually not a bad line. I have the curling creme and the conditioner. I don't think I can use the condish as a rinse out so used a little as a leave in underneath the cream and lo and behold my hair was sooo soft and shiny! I can add some ecostyler on top for more hold but I was really surprised.

Used the curly creme. I don't like how it made my hair feel. When putting it on it felt hard and weird and when it dried my hair was crunchy. Back to whole foods it goes..
