Pure Aloe Vera Gel and Jojoba oil

So I'm trying to think ahead to when I meet my goal and how I'm going to change my reggie to maintain rather than to improve so of course that leaves me with a question actually 2.

1. Can 100% pure Aloe Vera gel be used (not mixed with anything) on the hair or would it be drying, sticky etc?

2. I've been using EVOO for oil rinses but I keep reading that jojoba oil is closest to the scalp's natural oils so in your opinions is it better for an oil rinse than EVOO?

T.I.A.

I use Organic Aloe Vera on my hair and it leaves it soooo soft (I even use the juice as a leave in :yep:)

I do love jojoba oil, but I haven't noticed much of a difference in oil rinses, but everyone's hair reacts differently to things, so I say give it a try to see how your hair responds...

I've never ran across organic aloe vera GEL. Anything organic was liquid. But the jason 98% aloe vera gel is lightly moisturizing!

YES! This is my main oil. I only use different oils because jojoba oil is too pricey to use for hot oil treatments. My hair responds differently to this oil than any other one I've tried. It really sinks into my hair... leaving no oily residue.

Is the Aloe vera gel or the juice better? Or is there not really a difference

They both work equally well.

If I want a looser consistency, I'll use the juice, but if I want it to be a little thicker, I use the gel.

I use Fruit of the Earth 99% pure(whatever that means:perplexed) and Lily of the Valley aloe vera gel as a gel to slick back edges on WNG buns all the time. If you do not use too much your hair feels soft and moisturized!

Just purchased my first bottle of jojoba from GNC so we'll see :scratchch

My hair didnt really like EVOO too much. Too heavy.

I use fruit of the earth too for my buns but its got chemicals it. Let me know how the Jojoba oil works for you!

I also use Fruit of the Earth Aloe vera gel. It lays down my edges nicely when I do my puff, and you will not get build-up from it. I don't find it drying at all.

I use both of these mentioned. I've pretty much cut out all my "over the counter products" and I use Aloe Vera Gel on my hair daily and I must say I can't remember it ever being softer.

I haven't tried Aloe Juice yet though.

~Also, this one youtuber has a great Aloe Vera and Jojoba mix that she uses for defining curls. Her name is GypsyCurls I think.

I dont' do oil rinses so I don't have anything to add there either..

I use pure aloe vera gel that I get from my local whole foods grocery and it's gel like, not really a juice. It's not like commercial gels, but not quite a juice either. I don't use it full force of my hair. I've found it leaves it a little stiff and sticky for my taste. I usually dilute it 1:1 with water and then a squirt of glycerin and a few drops of whatever essential oil I want.

Thank all you ladies for your replies! I think I'll just stick to the Fruit of the earth gel and EVOO for now.

Off topic:

Could you mix the gel and the oil and still have a gel like consistency???
Actually the real gel that I'm talking about (the kind you can get in a health food store) is a liquid juice like consistency not gel. The fruit of the earth version ive had no problem missing oil (vitamin e oil) into it and it keeping its consistency.
