My hair is a HOT MESS!

Two days ago - attempting to begin my new "less heat" regimen,
I washed my hair - deep conditioned with PM Supercharged and
a little Cinnamon Dom Conditioner.

I rollerset with Lacio Lacio/L'anza protein leave in and a bit of coconut oil for my ends.

I allowed to airdry for 4 hours (and then because I was bored out of MY SKULL) I sat under the dryer for 30 minutes. Then I took the rollers out (hair still about 10% damp) and wrapped, tied a scarf on and went to bed.

Woke up in the morning - hair looked great! Soft, smooth, silky, you KNOW I was tossing it just a bit! Put on my JC Solution Nourish and Shine and I was out the door!

And then... poof! Two hours later - my hair is a huge puff! I'm talking about frizz from the scalp to the ends. I look like I should be feenin for Honeycomb cereal right about now... The humidity here is not the culprit... What could it be?

I'll bet this happened because your hair was not completely dry. Whenever I rollerset I HAVE to let my hair dry all the way before I wrap it or I get frizzies too or very limp curls. Same thing with my braid outs. If my hair is even a little bit damp when I take the braids out I get SUPER frizz about a hour later.

Maybe you need to put something stronger in your hair to block out humidity like serum. What ingredients are in the JC Solution that you use? I straightened my hair this weekend and used products that had a lot of silicone in them. As a finishing touch, I used Aveda Anti-humectant. My hair has stayed pretty straight this weekend, I was pretty surprised that my hair didn't poof out.

Thanks for the responses!

That's two things for me to try ... making sure my hair dries all the way and trying a heavier leave in.

simplycee - you have about 3 inches on me - how long does it take you to airdry? i was practically peeling my skin off trying to be patient.

Puff the magic dragon, lived by the sea........

Back to the topic. You probably got the frizzies since your hair was 10 percent damp after removing the rollers.
