Protein vs. Reconstructor

Does anyone know if there is a difference between a protein conditioner and a reconstuctor?? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

I received a sample of a reconstructor from Lanza; I used it, and I liked it, but I'm wondering if using that is the same as using a protein conditioner...

A protein conditioner and a reconstructor are the same thing! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

okay, i thought it was slightly different, but this may just be the way I term these things (from my own personal experiences)
Reconstructors (i thought) had milder amounts of protein in it. For me i consider ORS hair mayo a reconst. and CPR both work like reconstructors on my hair. They both contain protein but i can use these week after week without the hardening or drying out as a result

"Protein treatments" tend to be more heavy duty. Like aphogee or emergencee.

They both have protein in them, but protein treatments are not safe enough to be used weekly as opposed to reconstructors that can be used more frequently. Ok, i'll stop i hope this makes sense to you.

Thanks Beana, for clarifying that!!!

I think reconstructors are great!!! /images/graemlins/smile.gif
