Welcome back to the hair side!! Lol (HUG))

I'm partial to mixing up my own stuff and since it worked for you in the past, AND you still have some left, why not just mix in the proteins to your moisturizing DC like you used to??

Thank you!!

I used to really love aphogee 2step (minus the disgusting smell and the messiness).

I bought the proteins to try and recreate the effectiveness I had with aphogee, but I never figured out a solid swap.

Komaza Hair Care Protein Treatment & Annabelle's Perfect Blends Keratin Protein Treatment keep popping up so I wanted to try one out.

Maybe I'll wait until I use up what I have. I am definitely not interested in the PJ life ever again. Lol.

I'm not a part of this challenge but I always use protein to balance the moisture in my regimen. I have used the Komaza and Annabelle protein products.

For my hair, I found the Annabelle's Perfect Blends Keratin to be very "lightweight." It didn't seem that strengthening.

The Komaza Protein Strengthener is much stronger and it worked pretty decently on my hair over time. The first time I used it, my hair felt very nice the next day but I also noticed a few broken strands so I was unsure about it. I wrote about this in an "Hit or Miss" thread because I was "On the Fence." I figured out the problem because it wasn't just an issue with Komaza. I now know that I must leave in a moisturizing deep conditioner for longer than 10 minutes after I use stronger proteins or else I will see some broken strands the next day. I use to leave in moisturizing conditioners for up to an hour after using a protein product when I first started my hair journey but over the years, I cut down the time to 10 maybe 15 minutes top. After I corrected that, I really liked using the Komaza product on my hair. I planned to get more but there are a few other protein products I want to try first then I will decide which one is for me as I'm trying to find something to completely replace apHogee.

Thank you for taking time out to breakdown the differences between the 2 products.

I am definitely looking for the much stronger option so Komaza it is for the win. Ill follow with a steam session w/ a moisturizing conditioner. I have a few in my stash.

You're welcome.

Sounds good. By the way, you can use the Komaza with or without heat. It doesn't state that on the bottle but I emailed the company to ask and they said using it with heat is fine. I've used it both ways and it worked the same either way so it's just a matter of preference.
