Hola Ladies,

I need help on that. I am gonna buy protein treatments and how/when are they used?? When do you guys use it??

Thanx,
Kyna

I have Elucence Extended Moisture Repair Treatment (which is the EXACT same product as: Elasta QP Breakage Control Serum).

There are light protein treatments and hardcore protein... the one you use is up to you... depends on the health of your hair and what your hair likes.

For light protein I'd reccommend:

Elasta QP Breakage Control Serum
Motions CPR
ORS Hair Mayo

For heavy protein I'd recommend:

Aphogee 2 step treatment
Nexxus emergencce

For light protein, most people are safe using it 1 - 2 times per month. You shampoo and deep condition with it, then deep condition with a moisturizing conditioner afterwards.

You use most heavy ones the same way, but you DO NOT use them often. Every month to two months is the normal amount of time to wait between traetments. With the aphogee you follow the directions on the bottle... it isn't the same as other treatments!

I personally use the hard aphogee treatment every 6 weeks.

I'm currently using Aphogee 2 min reconstructor but I've also used Redken's Extreme. I use a protein treatment right after a relaxer and once a week after that. Once every two weeks if my hair seems to be in really good shape. I use Aphogee's stinky heavy duty 2 step treatment if I'm experiencing a lot of breakage.
