OK Ladies, it's the first Monday of the month and the day we begin our two-month long protein challenge. I would like to get an additional inch per month growth. Right now I think I'm getting 1/2 in a month. I'm really excited and I think if we stick with this challenge, we'll have a lot to celebrate at the end.

Let's keep each other motivated by checking in and posting updates often. Good luck ladies

So how was day 1 ladies? Today I consumed:

2 protein shakes 22g each plus 6gram soy milk and 14 gram lactaid with soy...that's 64 grams, yippeee!!

Besides that I had a chicken salad for lunch and a baked chicken breast for dinner. Oh and I almost forgot that I had 2 eggs for breakfast this morning too. Not bad.. I did NOT drink as much water as I should of though.

I'm thinking about adding marine protein supplement to my protein challenge. what do you think? I get about 1/2 inch per month which isn't bad but I think I can do better. What do you think Army?
I know I should stop trying every thing recommended but I can't help it

Girl I know EXACTLY how you feel. You want to do everything possible to maximize your growth potential to the 10th power

. Believe me, I've done it. It's okay to do that, but at times it seems a bit much and we feel like we need to take a break as it sometimes can become overwhelming.

My suggestion is, definitely commit to the protein challenge and any extras will be just that, extras. If you get it in fine, if ya don't, that's fine too. No pressure. I'm really confident that we are gonna see great results with the added protein. But it definitely won't hurt if you want to do something additional

I was able to consume 110.5g of protein today.

Vanilla protein shake made w/12oz of milk = 65g (50g from shake, 15g from milk)
3 hard boiled eggs = 18g (@ 6g each)
1/3 bag of soybeans or ½ cup = 10g
½ chicken breast = 12.5g
Yogurt = 5g

Hey Chipmunk, that looks great! I do believe that one average size chicken breast is around 39 grams of protein though. In which case I think you consumed more than 12g. You're off to a great start, keep it up.

WHERE ARE MY OTHER CHALLENGERS!

Ok, I purchased the Vanilla Ice Cream Whey Protein mix and it tastes horrible! ArmyQt-girl, give me some tips on how to make it bearable!lol, on the other note, I had two scrambled eggs yesterday(w/ the protein shake) for breakfast, a turkey breast sub for lunch and baked chicken for dinner (I attempted to drink another protein shake but could'nt choke it down....)

What's up SexyGyrl. I absolutely love the vanilla icecream whey shake. What kind of milk are you drinking it with. Try it with Silk Vanilla flavored soy milk

. I think you'll be able to bear the taste a lil better. If that doesn't work, you can try adding cinnamon, nutmeg, or vanilla flavoring to enhance the taste a bit. Another option also could be blending it with fruits you like to make a smoothie or something. Good luck and keep us posted

. I haven't heard form many of you this week. How are yall doing so far?

Okay on Tuesday I would say I got about the same amount 110.5g. I had everything, but the yogurt and added some shrimp (I didn't look at the protein content.

Yesterday, I didn't do so good. I didn't have time to make the shake in the morning, and failed to make it at night

As far as known protein I had about 56.25g. I had fast food for dinner

, so I don't know how much protein it contained. I know bad bad girl

I'll try to do better today.

Hey Armygt! Sorry for the delay. I have increased my protein but I haven't been diligent in counting my consumption. I typically have 2/3 eggs for breakfast (12-18g), 2 protein shakes (62 grams), a cheese stick (8g) and peanuts (16 grams) everyday. I alternate between tuna, fish, and chicken with dinner and snack on turkey lunch meat if get the urge. My grams definitely vary each day, and next week I'll try to do better with making sure I get at least 100 grams everyday.

I've found that drinking the lactaid milk with soy has made it easy for me to boost my protein intake. I haven't made any other major changes to my diet and I eat lots of meat anyways... but I drink 16oz of the milk a day which gives me 30 extra grams of protein.

I found some protein bars that have 35g of protein. I try to eat one everyday and drink chocalate milk (I can't stand the tast of regular milk) I also eat meat with every meal of the day and an omlet in the morning. And I have a frappochinno once in a while (10g)

I don't think I can do it. I have been doing horribly. Right now I'm snacking on those little chocolate donuts. I barely eat any protein. I am very discouraged.

I try to get anywhere between 50 and 100 grams of protein a day, but I do not do the shakes everyday. I decided to do one today. I eat my 15 grams of protein bars, 4 grams of protein in yogurt. I meant to tell you guys that Michellena's Sweedish Meatballs has 17 grams of protein in it, I had one of those today.

I bought the optimum whey protein vanilla ice cream shake
and used it with skim milk .
I had boiled eggs every day and 1 bag of peanuts.
I am thinking of purchasing the whey protein peanut
butter candy bar it contain 15 gm of protein.
