I wouldn't consider a rollerset a protective style, because the ends are still exposed. The only possible protective styles I can think of for shorter hair are bantu knots or simply wearing a headwrap. Maybe someone else will chime in with something else. HTH, and good luck .
I thought that short hair doesn't need protective styling. The ends don't rub against anything else, no there is no need for prtective styles. Short hair is sorta a protective style in itself.
At least that's what I thought
I don't think that rollersets are prtective styles, it's a healthy method of styling. Protective styles are stuff that keep some or all of your hair hidden awayfrom it's environment... like buns, bantu knots, ponytails and such.
Again, that's at leat what I thought
Is your hair relaxed or texturized? Looks like it in the picture... maybe you can go for a curly/wavy look by adding gel in addition to your normal products and airdrying.
For me, I just add some form of moisturizer, brush my hair and tie my hair with a silk or satin scarf at night or if I am not going anywhere. If I do go out, I wear a wig because I can't be bothered with weaves.
