So a while back a saw a braid style that was absolutely GORGEOUS (Kinikakes). The front was cornrowed, and the back individuals. My hair is a bit passed my shoulders, so the braids have to be braiding quite a bit to cover the entire length of my hair. I have a few concerns with the style though:

Is it true or not true that Human hair is better on your hair then synthetic? I don't want extra breakage.

Also, I'm slightly frightened about going to a braiding shop, I've heard a few horror stories of the braids being two tight, and puling hair out.... Is this a legitimate fear?

Anyone in the Detroit area, know of a GOOD/HEALTHY braider?

I wore this style and others and have experienced Zero breakage. I used Kanekalon hair(beverly johnson) I also care for my hair quite extensively when it's braided.
