We all know those family members who don't want to hear about hair growth from us.....well that's until they get a picture . I sent one of my sisters a recent picture of my hair growth, and then I get a phone call.
She tells me to send her all the products I used, so she can start her hair growth journey. Later, she calls again, she and her hubby are on Amazon trying to figure out which JBCO product to purchase . She has loads of questions for me like "what else did you use". She's a microwave person, she wants to be able to use it for a week and she'll have long hair. She's not going to be consistent with the JBCO, but it was so funny listening to all of her questions. The kicker statement she made was "I don't believe that's your hair".....Duh.....ya think!!

When I first came to LHCF, I promptly told everyone in my life that I would grow my bald head to WL in 2.5 years. I can't tell u how many side-eyes, front eyes, and plain 'ol crazy eyes I got lol. So I stopped talking and started "doing".

7 months later, when I sent out holiday pictures, my phone wouldn't stop ringing. And this is only Phase 1! They won't know what to do with me, especially with my BAA blocking their view

So, @Coffee, what products do you use? How often? How do you normally style? Etc.

I am a certified PJ, so I use a variety of products. I just finished an 10 week JBCO challenge on another hair forum. I oiled my scalp 3x per with JBCO, and also used it in my DC. I steam 2 x per week, and since my hair craves protein, I do a light treatment 1 x per week and a hard one every 6 weeks. I prepoo with a variety of oils, JBCO, Pimento, Black Seed, and various oils from India. I also use various oils in my DC along with Honey. Since I don't work outside of the home, I baggie my lil pony and only use heat on Sundays. I take Andrew Lessman Hair, Nails & Skin vitamins, and Black Seed Oil capsules. I also rinse with Burdock root tea, and black tea before I do my DC. I henna 2 x per month, clarify every 3 weeks and relax every 10 - 12 weeks.

I've always worn/had short hair because I didn't think it would grow, it wasn't until I found this site that I started to really take care of my hair. My Avatar was the beginning of my hair journey.

Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words and compliments. I'm going to continue on and see how long I can grow my hair. I am a happy, healthy 60 year old, who has just begun .

Nikki, I didn't send my sister any products; I just recently donated loads of condish, serum, poo and leave ins to a shelter. She is more than able to purchase her own products. If she buys them, she's more likely to use them up rather than if I sent her some.

I also wanted to add, that I use Nu Gro moisturizing spray; my hair really likes it, plus I use OCT .
