Progress? (2 months)......not so sure

Hey Ladies, this is my progress pic from Jan 31 (left) and April 4 (right) link in signature Keep in mind there is plenty of new growth under there!

I'm happy with the results I suppose, considering I had a HUGE setback (major breakage in the back/middle of my head). I was just wondering, does your hair grow thin like this? Is it because its growing in layers (as one member suggested)? Or maybe its because of the setback..? Ehhh, just wondering..
