professional moisturizers

I can go a few days without moisturizing my hair and still have hydrated

hair (especially since I started DCing with heat) but I would really like to

have a professional/salon moisturizer. I LOVE my joico to DEATH don't get

me wrong but they don't have any so I was wondering if any of you ladies

could recommend one preferably a professional salon quality brand (I hate

to be prejudice but these products have proved to work better for me)

thanks girls.

:bump:ing for you. this is a good question. i love joico as well, but you're right; the brand lacks deeeeep conditioners. for me, if i need a good DC, i'll mix in natural conditioning products with cheapies. my favorite DC now is mixing cream of nature conditioner with honey and veg. glycerin. if you need a quick strengthening treatment, try putting an egg + maple syrup on your hair, and leaving it for 15 minutes. after washing that out, my hair felt strong and soft, not brittle or hard at all. then it's back to joico as usual

are you asking for a moisturizer like a hairdress or a moisturizing conditioner?

if you are refering to the hairdress kind i am head over heels in love with keracare creme hairdress. to me nothing compares.

i was talking about like a daily moisturizer. thanks for the replies I am macherie fan so I

ordered a sample size of the keracare headdress.

pookie the joico k-pak intense hydrator is an AMAZING DC. I did 30 mins with

heat and my hair - ah people (ateyaa) it was incredible shiny, STRONG (I'm getting

mostly shed hairs in the comb and very few broken ones) and my hair airdries STRAIGHT

up to the ends and I have to leave my hair loose to airdry otherwise it will never dry.

not to mention the smell of the k-pak line is so incredible.

Though not popular on here, I love the Mizani Rose Conditioning Hairdress. I am also quite fond of Design Essentials RX Leave-in. I've been eyeing all things Kerasilk, and right now on eBay (ending in about 12 hours or so) the Kerasilk Instant Silk 16.9 oz Instant Silk is going for $27 (retail is $49+), so I will be bidding before bed. It sounds like it'll be a great moisturizer.

P.S. I believe I am a new Joico convert, too :yep:!

Bumping this because Joico does have a daily moisturizer: http://joico.com/product/detail.php?CatID=18

I'm going to pick it up today:grin:

Shtow recently raved about the Kenra Platinum Moisturizer conditioner used as a leave in and daily moisturizer.

I have yet to try it because i cannot find mine. I hope I did not give it away! :wallbash:

Anyway, that one is worth a try, as well.

I think the Joico Daily Moisturizer is actually labeled as a rinse out conditioner, as well.

In fact I think there are many ladies that use conditioners as their moisturizer.

Yup I have tried both the Kenra and Joico moistuizer/rinse out conditioner. Both are very good, but Kenra is excellent compared to the Joico one IMO.

I was looking at that too but I believe it's intended to be a rinse out conditioner rather than an after style product.

Yup you ladies are right on the website it looks like a leave in but when I went to Ulta today and read the directions I was sorely disappointed:ohwell:

I do see that the Moisture Recovery line has a styling cream http://joico.com/product/detail.php?CatID=20 but if the focus is more on hold than moisture then I think I'll pass I need something that purely focuses on moisture. I am surprised that Joico hasn't come out with a pure leave in moisturizer though. Since I'm trying to stick to the Joico line primarily I just use a little of the MR rinse out conditioner as a leave in, so far so good.
