Hello I'm a newbie and another recently natural (B.C. on 1/1/09) but my hair is very short...maybe about 2 inches around the edges which is the shorter part...
I am trying to find products that will help to keep my coils defined until I get more hair and can do more styles. I like wearing the 'no combed' look but by mid-day my hair looks like a soft puff with some coils/curls sprinkled in between.
I have used Oyin handmades Shine and Define and that didn't do much
I just went to bss and got some cheap activator (Smooth'n'Shin polishing activator gel) and that is a bit better but still not what I see when I have condish on my hair...
my sis just B.C'ed and she using beeswax (murrays) which works, but the first ingredient is petroleteum (sp?) and I'm really trying to avoid certain ingredients now that I am starting fresh.
so my first question: are my expectations to get the curly/coily look when my hair is drenched in conditioner too high for my 4b hair?
and if the expectation is reasonable..any recommendations for products?
TIA
