What are some good products I can use on my mother's hair. Here's a bit of background. She has fine hair. She says her hair used to be thick, but for some reason now it's thinned out. Her texture seems much looser than mine, but it's hard to tell because her hair is fine, has a silky texture, and is damaged. It's most likely 4a, despite appearance. She's around shoulder length and all she wants to do is wear her hair in high, tight buns and gel her edges back with brown gel (her edges are beginning to thin from this). I'm convincing her to lay off the relaxers for a while, so she wants to press her hair every two weeks after washing and deep conditioning. I was thinking about getting her some products from the Aphogee line (shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner). What do you ladies think? Mind you, she gave me a 50 dollar budget .

I think you should get her all the basics.
Sulfate free or moisturising shampoo.
A mid protien like ors hair mayo. Or 2 min apohgee.
A Strictly moisturising condish like keracare.
And an in between like aussie deep that she can use after every wash unless she needs the others.
A good daily moisturiser ors carrot oil- but this might be too heavy for her fine hair, so try so coconut oil that she can put on her scalp as well.
I know this isn't excellent but it's the basics in my opinion.

You can definitely get everything you need for $50 or less.

I would include the basics, moisture poo, protein poo, moisturizing leave in, an oil or serum a moisture deep conditioner and a protein deep conditioner.

That’s what I use and I mainly buy items on sale. I wouldn't try too many things at one time.

The aphogee 2 minute reconstructor would be a good choice. She can use it weekly until her hair condition improves and it works fast.

Maybe you could find some pomade that she can use on her edges to give them a break from the gel or try the IC fantasia gels and pomades. I always found them nice and easy on the hair.
