Not sure if anyone has used Generic Value Products before (sold @ Sallys), but I have never had a product made my hair feel so good! My hair feels like butter and I am about 6 weeks post relaxer. At first after I got in the shower to wash it out, I thought my hair felt dry but after I flat ironed (and I hardly flat iron), it felt so dang good and it was just blowing in the wind. lol.

I'm not sure if it's the reconstructor or if its the fact that my hair needed protein. I finally incorporated protein into my regimen and I am so happy I did. Newbies, hair novices, whoever...make sure you use protein at least once a week, it will make your hair that much stronger and less prone to breakage.

Anyone else out there had a great experience with GVP Reconstructing Conditioner? The label says that it is similar to Joico K-Pak Deep Penetrating Reconstructing Condtioner.

I bought this today at Sallys. Too bad I can't use it until I get my hands on a dryer!!! UGH! lool I'm glad you had a great experience with this. I'ma try it out soon and give an update

I have been using it for a month and i love it.

Is this considered a light or medium protein? I have been using Aphogee Keratin Reconstuctor but it does not seem to be working for me anymore.

Just bought it at Sally's today. Got my mom the Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor. the GVP k-pak is mine .

for those who love it, how are you using it? i got it like 2 wks ago and dun really know what to do with it :( lol

Hey there,

Sorry, I know I am really late with my comment but I am just now seeing your post. I used this awhile back and I only used it about twice because the next week I bought the real Joico KPak. I can't remember exactly what I did but it couldn't have been much though. Just follow what the instructions say...leave it on for a set amount of time while sitting under a hooded dryer. Follow up with a moisturizing conditioner or rinse it out with a cheapie conditioner like Suave or V05. Your hair will feel really silky and you will notice a major difference in breakage. Hope this helps and good luck!
