What is the time limit on using products like shampoos and conditioners? Can they expire? My mom said they can't but I think I'll take my advice from the "professionals" on here!!

I believe some do expire. I had my ORS in the bottle for about 7-8 months and then it started to smell like pickles...

Yes they do, which is why its important to buy from a reputable BSS as opposed to these guys who store products for years and years. The danger of using extremely old products is it can cause blindness and skin damage if its too old. Now the million dollar question is how old is too old??? beats me...

ITA. While some businesses will keep it on the shelves for decades if they could get away with it, nothing is meant to last forever.

The preservatives added to everything are to allow products to last from manufacturer stock, to the reseller shelf, then to the consumer. IMO some things can be expired but "seem fine" for a while after that. I like to buy smaller sizes of things I dilute or don't use everyday because I think most products (including make-up) can last just fine for a year with the consumer, two is pushing it. Anything beyond that has probably lost it's potency or could start doing more harm than good.
