Proclaim Crystal Ice Gel

My stepdaughter uses this and her hair is to die for!

The first 2 ingredients are water and glycerin. She usually just slicks her hair back with this, and puts in in a ponytail, braid or bun. I have a big jar, but I haven't been using it because I have been pressing my hair.

Just passing this info along. I got mine at Sally's( a huge jar for $2.69), but I think you can get it at regular Black hair shops too.

Thanks, MsChiChi...

"Let's Jam" gel is good too. I just found a huge jar of it in my closet today (my daughter was using it last summer, faithfully!!) -- I'm going to try using it for a twist or braid-out!!!

I'm sorry I can't agree with you there. proclaim was the first one I bought and it made my ends and hair so dry. i thought maybe it was just my hair type so i let my b/f use it who is 3b he said the same thing /images/graemlins/confused.gif That is when i went out and got the World of Curls and that works alot better for me. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I have to agree with u Camille, I tried the proclaim curl activator and their carrot hair creme awhile back. DRY DRY DRY!!! I actually threw both products out. I couldn't understand it tho the ingredients were so good. I've stayed away from all proclaim products since then.

i'm glad that this is working for you, but if you do find it drying over time, you might try mixing it with curl activator. that's what i do with my gel. i mix it with the World of Curls. i love this mix!

Hi,

Hope you don't mind. I am also glad that it's working for you, but I would try to mix it with some curl activator.

The proclaim gels claim is that they condition dry damaged hair, but also that it provides "hold". So with that be cautious because for some reason with the holding gels even if they don't contain alchohol they can be drying sometimes.
