Question Problems With Intrusive Keyword Ads On The Forum Help?

I HATE THIS GARBAGE BLACK BANNER CONSTANTLY SCROLLING ACROSS MY PHONE. IT'S STUPID AND IRRITATING AND ONLY MAKES ME MORE DETERMINED NOT TO GENERATE ANY AD REVENUE FOR THIS SITE.
 
I'm also tired of that banner at the bottom. The scrolling is irritating my eyes and annoying. I keep accidentally activating it. I tried to opt out of it, but it keeps re-appearing. Seems like that would be illegal - violating a privacy law or something - to provide an opt-out option that doesn't actually work.
 
I bought an ad blocker and its working great. I'm just back because I thought there'd be an admin response by now. That's really what bothers me about this whole thing. We don't ask for much. When we have issues there should at least be an effort to respond.
 
Ladies,

A few things:
  • This issue has been asked and answered. Several topics have been started on the same subject without checking if there were any replies already.
  • The ads you are looking at are from Yahoo and Bing. Both these companies are very reputable and do not serve ads that lead to viruses or external downloads etc.
  • The ads code that has been installed on the site needs to "learn" about the site first and then relevant ads will start appearing. This is why the first page had several links that were just generic. The ads should start becoming more relevant as time goes by.
  • I am not sure why you are seeing broken content. I have tested the site with ads on a number of browsers and devices. Sadly I do not have Apple devices so I cannot check what is going on with iPhones or iPads.
  • You are more than welcome to have adblockers or anything else while browsing this forum, it is of course your choice. Please note that we do not guarantee correct operation of the forum while you use one. Ads is one of the two sources of income for this community.

The purpose of paying is to post. The membership had been introduced a few years back to ensure that all of you do not get harassed by trolls. This is why the membership fee has been kept as low as possible for all these years.

Thanks for the clatification. Is there a way we can at least get rid of the one on the bottom? That's the most annoying out of all of them especially when it scrolls comstantly
 
@Black Ambrosia and everyone else- Sorry for the late reply. There have been several threads on this so I am sorry I missed this one to reply. We are working to make the ad experience better for you. We experienced technical issues with the other ad product and we had to switch to this product unexpectedly. If you can give us a few weeks, I am sure this will be resolved. We are trying to figure out how to get rid of the scrolling banner. I didn't realize that this was an issue until a couple of days ago. I agree it is annoying. It cost several thousand dollars a year to purchase to maintain the servers and bandwith to keep the site up and running without latency. We need to have ads to offset this cost. thank you for understanding. The ads come from reputable companies, (bing/yahoo) and will not harm your computer with viruses in any way.
