Hi guys, I wanted to know what you guys reccomend would be best for a pre-shampoo treatment after taking out box braids...

preferably not too expensive, and i would like it to result in alot of shine and moisture

ps. yes, i am giving up and taking out my braids it has been a month and I have had enough. I want to twist tonight for a nice shiny twistout tomorrow. :D

I've heard good things about Burt's Bees Avocado butter treatment. You can get that at a heath food store and some drugstores. I just took my sew-in out last night. I'm going to pick up a tube today. I'll post the results here tonight.

THANKS! I checked the ingredients on that cream- its seems pretty nice.....

I tried it last night. I put some on my ends, then my DC and sat under the dryer. I liked it. I think I'll even use a little on my edges when they get too dry. A little really goes a long way.

Cool! :)

Forgot to mention, I throw all of this into the blender. It's not something that easy to mix up by hand. :)
