Im getting individual braids done tomorrow and would like to know what the braid wearers do to their hair before. One lady recommended I wash and blow dry my hair to make it easier since I have so much new growth. Im not sure about that.

What do you ladies think?

TIA!

wel back in the day I used to blowdry to braid, but I can't see why airdrying won't be sufficient either.

I clarify, deep condition, moisturize, oil, and blowdry on low. I don't like anybody manipulating my airdried and slightly tangled hair. Especially since most of them part the hair with a rat tail comb. :nono: I guess if your hair airdries without tangles then it doesn't matter.

My hair is horrible air dried so I guess I do have to blow dry

I make sure that my hair is clean, conditioned, and moisturized. I let it airdry, and I lightly press my hair with my Maxiglide. I usually don't flat iron my hair whenever I get it braided, but this time around I got waaay less tangles as compared when I got braids with my hair being just airdried and detangled.
