well i hope to archieve as much length as possible using the crown and glory technique with braids and weaves. Hair will be in braids for 3 months then wash and deep condition for a while, followed by giving it a rest and then back in braids again. I will also try to use minimal heat preferably non at all.

When in braids i will wash hair twice a month whilst moisturising with s curl when needed. Vitamins will be the same ones in my signature. Godd luck to every1!!

Here goes... :-)

The products that I am using...
Black Seed Herbal Conditioning Shampoo
Black seed Natural Conditioning Hair Pomade
Keracare Leave-in Conditioner
Keracare Detangling Shampoo
Keracare Humecto Conditioner

I wash and oil my hair twice a week with the pomade.
I also give myself a hot Olive Oil treatment once a week.

My daily vitamin regimen...

* Wash hair on Sundays
* Con. wash on Wednesdays
* Surge everynight
* Wrap hair in satin scarf
* Continue to use this board for great advice

*I plan to wash with shampoo and condition every four days with whichever products I feel my hair needs at the time (right now I am loving my Kenra and Keracare products.) I'll follow with one of my leave-ins (I'm currently finishing up the last of a large bottle of Infusium 23 moisturizing leave-in)and some Africa's Best Oil. I'll let that airdry in a ponytail held by a scrunchie. Then I'll add ORS jojoba oil or Isoplus Castor oil to the ends and length, braid it, and put on my silk scarf and sleep on my satin pillowcase.

* For trims, I'll continue to dust only split ends on a regular basis, trimming it all even once I reach my goal, God willing.

*I'll do a protein conditioner once a month, though I haven't found one that I like. I still have several in my product stash that I haven't tried yet, so I'll maybe try Joico K-Pak next time. And I'll be sure to deep condition or to do a hot oil treatment at least every other week.

*I'll extend my relaxers using the wonderful tips I've gotten from this board.

*I will continue to stay away from heat, and to wear my hair in protective styles. I am really starting to enjoy wearing my hair in buns, and am getting a kick out of finding ways to decorate my updos.

*I'll continue taking my flax oil capsules, daily multivitamin, MSM, and biotin tablets.

*I will use up all of these products I have here, and will not buy anymore until these are gone!

BIG GOALS FOR 2004: drink more more more water!! hoping for BSL this year.

Daily co washes.
2 months in braids/ one month off. I will repeat for a year.
Plenty of water and vits.
Trying to keep it simple!

-Do a preshampoo treatment with VO5 or some oil
-Wash & deep condition every two to three days w/ a mild shampoo (GBP once a week)
-Air dry
-Relax every 16 weeks
-Intense Protein treatment every 6 weeks
-Dust ends every 8 to 10 weeks

My regime for 2004

1) Try to do CO washes daily and rinse twice a day, morning and evening or just rinse twice daily. Remember not to let my hair get dry.
2) Surge twice daily
3) Apply castor oil, olive oil, Surge 9 oil and Monoi mixture at least once every evening.
4) Take my supplements.
5) Increase my fruit intake
6) Increase my drinking of water
7) Start taking cod-liver oil again.
8) Increase my exercise regime.
9) Wash my hair at least once a week, on a Saturday or Sunday, also use a hot treatment, with olive oil, monoi oil , castor oil, maybe add Alma oil and Wild Growth oil, also alternate each week, with Lazartigue's Shea butter preconditioner.
10) Continue with protective styles.
11) Will also stick with the Kazima colour line, because of the three step conditioning process or get my hair highlighted not sure just yet.
12) When combing and styling my hair apply Surge lotion to ends and use Surge 14 plus as a detangler.
13) Continue using with aloe vera gel.

Doing the 12 inches in Dec 2004 challenge.

Here's mine:

Wash 2 x a week. Once at the salon and once at home.

Salon Washes:
Lanza Protein Plus Shampoo

Salerm Leave In

Home washes:

Lanza Protein Plus Shampoo

One of any of the following conditioners (my old faithfuls) depending on what my hair needs:

Dudley's Hair Rebuilder
Dudley's Moisturizing Conditioner
Dudleys DRC 28
Nexxus Humectress
Nexxus Keraphix
NACIDIT Olive Oil
Miss Key 10 in 1
Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner
HI PRO PAC
Pantene DMR
Feria Color Moisturizing Treatment
Keracare Humecto
Fantasia IC Pure Tea SHampoo (to clarify)

Leave In for home washes - conditioner and water, Infusium 23, Pantene DMR.

Trims - 2x. Once in a few days (Jan) and once in July.

Ends - GNC Jojoba Oil, Dudley's PCA Moisture Retainer, any of my many serums.

Relaxers - Trying to work up to a 12 week wait again. Having trouble finding a relaxer I can stick to. I have a few issues that I have to resolve on that note.
smirk.gif
Dudley's DRC28 before and after all relaxer treatments.

Handling: Rollersets or airdrying for home washes. Airdry in a ponytail secured with a scrunchie and braided ends (Elasta QP Recovery for braided wet buns). Comb with wide tooth bone comb only when dry. Stop twisting and twrling my ends! Try as much as possible to get a handle on my bun challenge. My hair is up about 65% of the time now. I'd like to get it up to 80% or so...

Purchase a standing hood dryer for home rollersets. Purchase standing steamer for home deep conditioning.
Try other product lines on my loooong "to try" list.

Curls in summer using my whole "curl plan" (John Frieda Dream Curls, LUST Taming Creme, Keracare Silken Seal, SSLD, Frizz Ease Mousse - any combo).

-Use Sebastian's Penetraitt every 6 weeks
-Use Dudley's Hair rebuilder after every relaxer.
-Cover my hair faithfully everynight
-To oil my hair every other night or as needed
