So...I'm in LOVE with uber-big, uber-round puffs, but my hair isn't quite there yet! Mine would look more like a pancake...

Please post a pic of your big, round puffs, and your hair's age when you were able to finally get this "perfect" puff...

My natural hair's age is close to 23 months right now. And I love it. For some reason, my hair looks light brown, but it's actually much darker than that.

Anyway, the first few months after my bc, I didn't think my hair was growing much, but it did. You'll get your big ol' puff soon enough.

what did you do for stretching it ? braids? cornrows? banding? I dunno how to do great puff, evertime, it is not enough stretch. so I do puff on shrinked hair.

Krystle~Hime, I just detangled and added some Oyin Burnt Sugar Pomade to my hair. It's the best for adding weight to my hair and it stays weighed down for days.

.. maybe you detangled on dry hair? because I detangle on wet hair, and if I don't do some braids, it will shrink so much that i will have a twa.

Thank you!! No, it isn't my real hair color. My actually color is a dark brown. It's a demi-permanent I used.

My hair is so floppy (and kind of thin) now that I have to do a braid out to acheive a puff that will stand up.

I'd die if I had to detangle dry. LOL. I detangle on wet hair and apply the Oyin immediately after and detangle some more to distribute it. It's amazing.

sigh, my hair don't puff. it's more like celinastarr's . i usually put mine in a pony and i dont pull the hair all the way thru. then i shape and pin.
