OMG!!!! thanks to SelfStyled I hit the Jackpot!!!! near my house we have a large hispanic community where they have nothing but columbian, brazillian, portugese, etc stores, so I decided to go down and ask around. Long story short I found a little Brazillian store which sells nothing but the large tubs of skala masque(along with the other product you guys were raving about found on amazon it starts with a K) ranginging from 5.99-6.99. I let my inner PJism get the best of me due to the ongoing skala rave an purchased one of each (I know I should not have done this,but hey I love conditioner). I'm onmy way to school, but I will post my findings ASAP.

This is just for you Firstborn: I tried to sneak my Skala haul into the house but my daughter saw me, she said I should be ashamed of myself for buying that much conditioner when I don't need it. For a second I was like wait a minute- who is the mama here. But she is right.....I told her that I actually "saved" money because ea bottle was only $1 so that meant I saved about $5 a bottle retail she actually gave me the(mind you why am I 'splaining myself to my 14y.o.)- she said, what would the ladies on LHCF say? I was like are you serious my stash in minuscule compared to theirs

This was my BL haul

And these Grandaddies I found at my local Brazilian Grocery Store. These are 3x the size of the ones form BL and the cost was only $4.49. These are also ones that I haven't seen elsewhere, labels are completely in Portuguese, but the ingredients seem more comprehensive. With ingredients like Castor Oil, Rice Bran oil, and Cocoa Butter to name a few.

So overall I spent $30 dollars on Skala yesterday- but I feel like I have a lot to show for it. I have spent $25-30 on one deep conditioner before and HATED it. I hope that I like the products, I am not buying or reupping until I try each of them.

I did try the Skala conditioner/masque last night. I will review in the other thread.

Wow so many new colors! The one in the white bottle, does it say Cristal something? Also since you have easy access to Komechom you may want to try it out. Heard it was VERY good.

Well I decided to try out the famous Skala. Well I hit up my local Big Lots and there wasn't much of a selection. I got 3 Aloe Vera and 2 Fruit Cocktail masques. There was no shampoo, conditioner, or leave in

Ew - don't get me started. I know I'm prolly mispronouncing it but no one ever knows what I'm talking about when I call BLs to ask for the Skala. At one location they went to check (or so they said) then came back and tole me nahl (see my ebonics is comin out) so I wasn't going to visit that location. I was in the vicinity so I did a drive by - WTHeck why did they have the motherload (well not avocado or chocolate). I was so disappointed in them bcuz now I can't just call I will have to see with my own eyes. Can't trust em I tel ya'.

You can try. Some will gladly do it and others won't out of laziness.

I hate it when I call and they just say NAW. Too lazy and triflin to go look. Well now I know that I have to fend for myself.

Hmmm.... got me wondering if I should hit up the Brazilian shops near my house and in the city this weekend.

Uh I want to look for Brazilian shops in my city. Would they be listed in the Yellow Pages under Brazilian shop

I'm not sure if they would be listed,but hey its worth a try (maybe google brazillian shops/stores in your area). It just so happens I take the train into NYcity almost everyday for school and near the train station they have an area where most of the brazillian, portugese, columbian,spainish etc.people live and shop at so I decided to go early and ask around. I kinda felt weird because most didnt know how to speak english, but I kept asking for brazillian stores. I hit up about 4 stores before I found the one.
