I'm not much for rings, I need to be able to put my hand in my pockets without getting snagged but your ring is GORGEOUS! I LOVE it!
I don't plan on getting engaged again but this ring might just be my birthday present to myself in a few years! It is SOOOO me!!!!
I'm drooling over here!!!!!!!
.... It doesn't snag surprisingly but then my fiance took that into account. Because he's a doctor, he thinks about snagging (which didn't occur to me till after), because I guess some of the ladies in the hospital complain about that ( female doctors). They hate scratching things, and/or people when they're making rounds, and often take their rings off.
I know we're looking into that for his ring too, making sure that he gets a style that doesn't snag. From what I understand he also picked my dad's brain on the subject (amateur gemologist with tons of knowledge on this stuff), and also quizzed others (and read up on rings, settings, four cs, and types of other gemstones, quality of gemstones, etc). The stone sits low in the setting (don't know how to explain it other than that), and the way its set, I haven't had any problems (and I'm klutzy so I would've by now if I was going to!). So even though it's a big stone, it's not jutting out and sitting high in a setting, which helps.
I will say though when putting on clothes, or even touching a person (I am very expressive with my hands anyways) on the arm or whatever, I haven't snagged anything. I haven't hurt my nieces or nephews, or my dog cookie...or myself lol
. Which is good. Because I don't want my little ones to be cut by my jewelry (when I have them and we want children shortly after marriage). So basically the setting doesn't "snag" on top. It lays low and even the diamonds, and prongs were set in a way that if I were to run my hand against fabric even ring side forward, no snags.. However I'm sure the size might at certain angles like (putting it in and out of pockets continuously) because really that can't be avoided I guess. Overall having it set low does help a lot though.
