I need a choice for 'all of them'. I will buy a product almost anywhere. I get my Aubrey GPB from a health food store, some stuff from 3 or 4 local BSS's, some conditioners from the discount store, etc. I would love it if I could find Salerm 21 somewhere in the bay - but that doesn't seem like a possibility. Online it is, I guess.

I buy from a huge beauty supply store in Oakland, but since I don't usually feel like driving over there, I also order from metrobeauty.com and gigibeauty.com.

Living in Queens, there are beauty supply stores everywhere. So I frequent those the most. But I also go to healthfood stores and WallGreens if I have to.

I get most of my products from department store salons (Dillards and JC Penney). I also get stuff like AO GPB from health food stores such as Whole Foods Market.

Most of my stash is from Walmart or Whole Foods (health food store).
I also shop at Indian markets, Ulta, Trade Secret, Beauty Brands, and Asian-owned beauty supply stores.
Dallas peeps: Y'all need to check out Beauty Brands. There's one in Fort Worth off of Hulen and one in Frisco in that huge shopping area across the street from the mall. BBs is like a Trade Secret or an Ulta3.

Hey Oaklander:
There are four main ones I hit. I can't give names but I can give great landmarks and directions if ya really familiar with 'the town'. OK - I hit four main ones and they are all on Telegraph. #1 is diagnolly across the street from where Sears is now (downtown Oak). #2 is down the street right next to where that same Sears USED to be. The 3rd one is further down on Telegrach (headed towards Berkeley) on about 40th and Telegraph. In that little strip mall on that corner across form the car dealership. The fourth one is down almost to 51st/Pleasant Valley (before you hit this street on the left side). About a block back from that strip mall with the Walgreens and the Genova's deli. That one is called Universal and I love it because they sell the Design Essentials stuff and it is actually a small Black salon with a BSS in the front.
#1 and #3 also sell all the Surge stuff.
If I could find one that sells the Salerm stuff I would really be happy ;-)

When I was at school, I'd buy my Aveda products at the salon in Dillard's since I wasn't near an Aveda Experience shoppe. I would also get odds and ends at the local Sally's and other BSS's. I'd browse Trade Secret until I finally scooped up TIGI Bed Head Chocolate Head in April.
Now that I'm home I shop at the Aveda Experience shoppe almost exclusively(now located inside of Pacific Place, where they moved from Westlake Mall for all the Seattlites ... I just about flipped when I went to Westlake and didn't see 'em.

Oh yeah, I buy my TIGI Bed Head Chocolate Head at Trade Secret and my hair butters from fromnaturewithlove.com and my Carol's Daughter Some of Marguerite's Magic from carolsdaughter.com. I can't forget to mention this GREAT health food store that I found in Port Orchad that sells freshly made coconut oil by the big ol' jar for $3.95
