I do the works once a week - meaning expensive conditioner, oil treatment, deep conditioner. Another day of the week, I'll do a conditioner wash with a cheapy conditioner.
I wash my hair on average every 2-3 days. Never more than 4. I don't have a big day anymore. Since six months ago I trimmed my routine way down and y hair seems to be coming along nicely.
At Least once a week during the winter/fall with the works(conditioners only). Every other day/daily in spring/summer, one time a week with the works and the rest with a cheap conditioner.
-I am on the no poo method.
Normally 2x a week with the works. I stopped doing this a while ago and my hair reflects this. IT was getting to be annoying hopping in and out of the tub and then having to look forward to 3 hours under the dryer. So I stopped and started washing my hair in the sink with the works but that led to tangles. So then I was only doing it in the shower. Then I started adding on conditioner washes if I exercize. But I just discoved tonight that I can wash my hair leaning BACKWARDS over my tub while sitting.
So I did the works that way and now I am going back to 2x a week with the full works. My hair was waaaaay healthier then.
I have been doing the works once a week (since it had been so cold here in Maryland this winter). I'm not used to once a week though (although it works out ok). I am REALLY looking forward to going back to every three days.
