I have an acquaintance whose hair is always on point. She says that she can use a curling iron or flat iron on a Monday and maintain the style until the end of the week. She just sleeps in a certain position so that her hair doesn't get mussed. I didn't believe her until I went to go see sistagurl in the hospital after she'd had a major surgery. She'd been in there three days and why was her hair lookin' fab? :ohwell:

Anyhoo, I know that that could never work for me. I am a very *active* sleeper -- I toss and turn and sweat and . . . you get the idea. Shoot, I'm lucky if my silk scarf doesn't fall off my head in the middle of the night. So I know that I always have to cover my hair up before going to bed. Otherwise, I'm dealing with a big mess in the morning.

What about you? How does your hair hold up at night?

I have to wear a satin scarf AND a bonnet, and half the time both fall off during the night. I will re-tie them half asleep though :lachen:. If I sleep halfway sitting up, propped up on pillows (I started this while pregnant to help with back pain, and I still do it), my headwraps stay on better. I also sleep on satin pillowcases just in case.

This is what i do. My styles last all week unless I have hair hanging in my face. I always have to retouch that part because of the heat and my forehead sweating. EWW!:ohwell: But other than that I plan my sleeping positions depending on the hair style. As long as I sleep on my stomach I'm comfortable.

I'm lucky if a scarf stays on my head all night. I am too wild of a sleeper so I use a satin pillowcase as a backup.

My hair can hold up good at night. Many moons ago, I would put my hair in a bun and not touch my hair all week (Monday through Friday). My bun would always look good as new. The only reason I don't do it now is because I love combing / brushing my hair that one time a day (in the morning). On top of that, when I go to sleep, I wake up in the same spot I started in (aka not a wild sleeper at all).

My hair holds up reasonably well. There are nights when I don't even roll it up, and it still looks nice the next day. Of course, in my case, having a good cut helps.
