PLEASE HELP!!! WEAVE!

I got a weave about two weeks ago, and I had no clue that Milkyway hair was BAD! After reading this forum, I see alot of you ladies advising people not to buy Milkyway hair. I've noticed my hair is shedding ALOT, and it is always looking nappy and tangled. Is there anyway that I can make my weave look any better without getting it redone? I was gonna wash it tonight, but I'm afraid it will look worse. Please help me out ladies. I'm new to this forum. :nono:

If it's only been 2 weeks and you're already at that point is it possible to buy new hair and get it sewn over? Did you do it yourself or was it done in a salon? It's most likely only going to get worse. I guess you can try washing and all that but in my experiences with regular milky way it gets more tangled.

Which milky way did you buy? The regular one or the weavemaster?

If the hair is bad it doesn't matter what you do flat iron it, blow dry it, it will look nice at first but it's just going to go back to looking nappy and tangled. If it's shedding it's going to continue to shed and begin to look thin. Your going to have to get it redone with better quality hair.

Yeah, if the hair is bad, there's not much you can do to fix it. Just chalk it up to a lesson learned. You may want to visit bhm, they have a great weave section there.

Go to a Dominican salon and get it washed and deep conditioned with a rollerset and blow-out. Being that the hair is crappy; this should give you an extra week.

So SAD!!! I went thru the same thing!!! ARGH!! In May, I put a sew-in in the back (Milky Way) and put micros in the front (Anna Hair). Micros looked great....sew-in part..whomp whomp whomp WHOMP!! I choose the deep wave for both brands and I would lightly moisturize and bantu knot the hair anytime I was "not out" and place a silk/satin scarf over it nightly (or anytime I was lounging). It SOMEWHAT preserved the hair, even after I began to notice the frizzy-tangled-mess, but I took it down a little over a month after I spent time putting it in. I too, had to chalk it up as a lesson learned.

As with anything, I am SURE there are others who love it, but Milky Way gets NO play in my hair. I am VERY easy with my extension hair, I braid/sew it in it myself (outside of my installs) and want them to last (clearly), but no matter HOW careful I was, how EASY, how much I DIDN'T handle it...Milky Way acted up in the worst way.

The Dominican shop suggestion (especially since its human extension hair) might not be a bad idea; however, you've had the install for 2 weeks and already its giving you the biz...not sure if you should waste the money on the shop trip...since clearly the install, given how the brand of weave is acting with you, was a waste. HTH.

Thank Ladies! You have all been a BIG help! To answer your questions, I went to the salon and got it done. My stylist did a really good job on this install. I'm just sad because I choose some crap hair. I called my stylist and she is gonna see if she can deep condition the hair, and style it. I hope that helps. I just want to get my money's worth. Next time I'll purchase better hair. Thanks again!

I got it on a stylist recommendation :look: and the only thing that fixed all the shedding and tangling was TAKING IT OUT. Never again will I buy BSS wefts.
