I would politely walk out and find me another stylist who would use products I like. It's my hair and my money. I mean, I wasn't walking in there with strange, foreign and unknown products. I like nexxus and would take those. I use either motions or affirm relaxers and would take those.
Ummm, what kinda research does THAT require?Anywho, if a stylist won't do what I want, and that includes using products I want, they lose me as a client. I've spent too much time, energy, money and emotion on getting my hair long and heathy and no sylist gonna set me back.
Anywho, that's why haven't visited one in over a year now . . . .
What happened was I wanted to use Phytospecific for my relaxer and he told me he has heard of it but really doesn't know much about it. I guess it is dif. when you are talking about relaxers. IDK.
But in many ways, he is a good stylist. There are some things I don't like though.
I asked him to use a heat protectant because he blow dryed and flat ironed my hair. He told me that since it was an ion dryer and a ceramic flat iron, it didn't use much heat. But I am thinking to myself, "It still is heat though, right?"

Now I am just worrying about going to him for my touch up next year in June after not being their for so long. I don't want him to cut my progress off. I mean, if I am not using heat, manipulating my hair, and moisturizing, why should my hair need to be cut? Most people say every 6 weeks because after blow drying, flat ironing, brushing/combing and not moisturizing your hair will need to be cut. I don't think that rule applys to everyone but for some reason stylists think everyone's hair need to be trimmed 1/2 inch every six weeks.
What do you think I should say or do you think he will automatically see my hair is healthy?
