Please help ladies!!!!

I need majah help, my nape hair is about 3 inches shorter than the rest if my hair and my sides are shorter as well. I was told by two different people that was caused by tying my hair up a lot of hair ties, and making high ponytails. So that hair is broken.
So I am gonna go six months with only using hair clips to see if I see a change.
Now what I need lol
Has anyone one else faced this, or maybe have some thoughts or suggestions. I really don't wanna cut my hair off until i try to grow it out for a bit.
And suggestions and thoughts are appreciated :)
Ty for your help !!!

I think you are already going in the right direction by giving yourself a break from the ponytails. Do you have issues with dry hair? Are you natural or relaxed?

I don't think you need to cut it.

^^^^I would agree that you are moving in the right direction. What do you mean by clips?

Also it maybe better if you leave your hair down somehow becuase the clips can still cause tension. You could try braidouts.

Nicwhite,

Yes my hair is dry, I started moisturizing and sealing but I think I need some more moisture. Ty I really don't wanna cut.

Transitioning,
Yes I am relaxed, clips like the dolphin ones to keep my hair off my shoulders when it gets annoying to deal with lol

Ok, so what's you reggie? We might be able to help/ make suggestions if we knew a bit more. As a general rule of thumb, having the correct moisture to protein balance is key. Also, sulfur, Mega-tek, and ceramide rich oils can help with the thin areas that have sustained damage. I have suffered damage from ponytail issues too.

Ty foe your response :)

My Reggie:
Wash twice weekly
With fructis triple nutrition
Dc with alter ego garlic conditioner
Lacio lacio leave in
Air dry
Flat iron 1x weekly on number 2 heat setting (goes from 1-25

Moisture daily with
Jane carter hair cream
Seal with jojoba oil
Cross wrap nightly, cover with silk scarf

Do you ever clarify? A good starting point would be to use a quality clarifying shampoo as the majority of your products contain cones.
Maybe swap one of your twice weekly shampoos for a moisturising sulphate free poo I.e KeraCare hydrating detangling shampoo, so it would be less harsh and drying on your strands.

You could also alternate a more moisturising DC, because if I'm not mistaken Alter Ego is more protein based.

what hair styles do you wear your hair in and how long is it?and by clips do you mean the octopus type clips?

Fhrizzball (love the name)
I wear my hair out everyday now because of the setback.
I uses to wear it tied back or up in a bun. But I think that is was causes the issue.
And with clips I mean the ones with teeth like claws clips I don't know the appropriate name :/
Lol
