Too funny! Takes a little practice...that's all. When I was little ALL curls were heatless -- pin curls, bantu knots, rag curlers, pink rollers...you only got heated curls for Easter Sunday and you spent all day Saturday in line at the stove for them. I don't know what Red did to get that mess of a 'do.
When I had a Bantu knot out fail mine just hung limply lol. I'm done with Bantu knots. Just like many have said they are unpredictable. I did it once and it was pretty. Tried to do it again that night and let's just say I'm glad I didn't have to go anywhere smh
I feel like once your hair has some significant curl/coil/kink to it, you either have to roller set or straighten to get a bantu knot out to give you consistent results. Also, some sort of setting product that actually holds a set may be necessary. Otherwise, the hair goes nuts doing it's own 'interpretive dance' version of the bantu knot out.
