Wonderful instructions and beautiful outcome! I'm going to try this in a few weeks after I get my color. I'll be sure to let you know how everything comes out.

SouthernGirl, you and your pin curls are beautiful. It is very nice of you to put instructions in your album.

I do them once in a while, too, but I have to do them on dry hair because it takes an absurd amount of time for my hair to dry when it's down and much longer if I put it up.

I think it's great that your hair gets halfway dry in an hour and a half. Do you mind if I ask how long it takes your pin curls to dry after you've formed them?

Hey these pictures of the step by step pin curl "how-to's" are wonderful. I must get some Salerm 21, it must be awesome. I will have to try this style when my year of wearing a bun is over "Bun Challange." Thanks Again Southergal

Thanks so much for the step-by-step instructions, SG! This is exactly what I've been looking for as an alternative to rollersetting. I'm definitely going this try this on both mine and my daughter's hair. And ditto with the compliments -- your hair looks GREAT!

!

Yes, it takes about 1 1/2 hours to partially dry before the knots go up, but then it takes another few hours before I can take them down. Roughly 3-4 because I re-spray them with a little conditioner or water after I secure them. This is why when I know I want this style, I get started either the night before (then the hair can be more wet when I do the knots) or early in the day (Saturday AM). From start to finish, you need about 5 or 6 hours if you don't want to use any heat.
