Hey Everyone,

I have uploaded my step-by-step instructions and pictures on my Fotki site of how I do the pincurls

! It took a minute but they're all there and I hope they make sense to everyone. It didn't come out as curly as the first time because I was rushing, but I'm still pleased w/the results.

I appreciate all of your positive feedback and PMs

. I'm just happy to share yet another "no heat" styling alternative for all of our healthy hair challenges.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Your hair is really pretty. I will have to remember those instructions for when my hair is a little big longer. Thanks for sharing!

Just beautiful as I said before!!!!

It was great to get the step-by-step instructions, because at first, I could not imagine the process from the description. Thanks!

great instructions! I've always wanted to do this but was too confused

You've made it so simple, I can't wait to try it out! BTW your hair is so pretty!

Those are excellent instructions!

I always love when people out things like this in their albums.

Your hair is fantastic. I'm debating on whether it would work for me because my hair dries relly curly and wavy - but I'm definitely going to try it. It looks like it'd work to revive a rollerset too when wrapping has become futile.

Neat!

Thanks for the detailed instructions SG! I finally figured out what I'm doing wrong - I make my knots too tight. I'll give this style a try again once I take my braids out.

Yeah!! Glad the instructions made sense to everyone.

Tracy- I think pincurls would be perfect for wavy hair. That's basically the look I'm going for, but can't do naturally because my hair has ZERO CURL when wet, except for in the nape for some reason. Hopefully extending my relaxers out to 6 months and shorter proc. time will give me more texture like your hair.

SG, My hair is around ear lenght do you think it will work, I am 10 week post relaxer and trying to find something to do with my hair that I don't have to do much combing or wearing phony bun/tails all the time.

Southergirl, you and your pin curls a gorgeous. I like the loose curl better than my usual bantu sets(the curls are always so tight). This might become one of my new favorite styles. Thanks

I've done that before. i didnt know those were what you called pin curls. cool. i do less knots for mine though, only 4. your hair looks gorgeous southerngirl.very pretty!

Thank you for sharing those detailed pics. Your hair looks fabulous and your dog is too adorable for words.

Hey thanks so much for posting those instructions for us!I'm going to try it tonite if I have time. Hopefully it will work-- I'm growing out long layers in my hair, so the back is longer than the front...

Excellent instructions!!Thanks for sharing. I will definitely be using this in the very near future. Your hair looks really pretty too!!

Thanks Girlz!

Please let me know how your hair comes out when you try it!!

BLUEJAY: You'll love this look w/your hair. With the long layers in back, you definitely want to go ahead and make knots in the back as well, just make them big and loose at the nape (maybe two or three)

FRIZZMIZZ: My hair has dried that straight for as long as I can remember. I really think it's because I've always self-permed every 6 weeks, I was probably overprocessing a bit so it's very straight. That's why I'm extending to 6 months now to "undo" some of the past damage. I'm sure that when I get close to 6 months I'll have a poof! I'll be sure to post pix of that

ZIGZAG- thanks for the compliment! It's definitely the Retin-A Micro (PM) and Creme de la Mer (AM) because I've struggled w/acne for most of my life until now.

Very nice, SouthernGirl! What an alternative way to get curls/waves with no heat. I must try this either on myself or on my daughter. Then again, I'll be sporting braids until next year, so when I do take it down after getting relaxed next year, this will be a style to try. Hopefully I'll have a good length to take it over the top. Thanks!
