I remember a few years ago, folks were crazy over the Pibbs? I need a new dryer and wanted some updates. Are ya'll still using it? Did it last? Do you know of other brands that might be better?

Kurlee , I'm still using mine, every weekend :)
The visor broke during shipment (I bought it from another member here) but DH glued it together and it works great. It has lasted well and in fact, if it broke I'd buy another just like it.
I know some people liked Parlux (sp?) and said they were similar to the Pibbs.

I was thinking about buying a Pibbs, but I got a dryer from LCL beauty instead. It works great and it has all of the features that I was looking for in a Pibbs. $129.77 and free shipping.

Still using my Pibbs and love it. I've only had it for about a year, if that but it's a keeper. Faster drying times for sure.

Yes, I still have mine, and it still works great. I just used it yesterday morning.

I bought my Pibbs back when I planned to continue relaxing, a little over two years ago. Since my hair is now natural the hooded dryer has seen much use except for recently. Now I use it to deep condition on a weekly basis and I love it.
i saw a review that said it's not good for DCing? Is that true?
That's all I use mine for right now. It does a great good for DCs. My hair is soft and super easy to detangle after a 15-20 minute session. I like that there aren't any hot spots and that the hood is big enough to fit all my hair.
To be honest, the purchase is a bit excessive since I only use it to DC but maybe one of these days I will dare to do a roller set.

I purchased mine (Pibbs 514) when a bulk of LHCF members received a deal that one of the nice ladies here set up. I was relaxed when I purchased mine, but since I've been natural, I've still been using it. I don't use mine to deep condition though.

I'ved used mine once a week for the past 4 1/2 years. Still haven't had a problem with it and I consider it my best hair investment to date. If it broke tomorrow, I'd replace it tomorrow evening with another PIBBS.
