Hi Ladies,
Is someone going to set up a Pibbs purchase deal soon? I see some old messages where this was previously accomplished.

I'm interested in purchasing a Pibbs the last group order came from
Imperial Sales
60 Gordon Drive
Syosset, NY 11791
516-921-7700

If you ladies are interested in doing another group order. Lets gather a group of names so that we can get the best deal.

How often do these come along? I'm interested in purchasing, but I thinking about using that Sally's 20% off coupon to buy one tomorrow and don't want to miss out on that. How much did they cost during the last group order?

I wanted a pibbs too, but I have concerns now, Supergirl started a thread a week or so ago about some issues with it and a few other ladies chimed in with the same issue.

damn it!!! that's still out of my current price range. sorry. i have to back out.

but next year... NEXT YEAR I WILL HAVE YOU PIBBS!!!

I want in on a Pibbs group deal!!! I missed out on the last one! I'm READY!!! Keep me posted on this - please PM me about it.

the price goes up each year from Pibbs, I spoke with them directly and they told me this.

and when I did a deal it was pricey, and imperial sales didn't want to deal with lhcf (have the emails with him saying that) he said he had "bad experiences with some of the members". and that I could order all the dryers and then distribute them myself (crazy talk).

for single purchases the cheapest i've seen a pibbs is 319 and that's from bluebeez only because they are having a sale right now.

other than that the price has almost shot up to 400. and believe me the retailers are really not trying to go too low on the price even for a group order.

I ended up not buying a pibbs but a Pro tools ed2500 it's ionic hundreds of dollars cheaper and has the same features + the ionic which is really great. I'm into saying a buck.

It really sucks that Pibbs has taken advantage of all the publicity their dryers have been getting because of the hair boards and have shot the prices up.

EMAIL FROM TONY AT IMPERIAL SALES:
I did sell to some people at the forum last year and it was a lot of problems with dealing with individual people. I can sell you in bulk and you can take care of them yourself I do not sell to each person anymore. You can go to our website and order at special price which is still lower than anyone else.

Thanks

Tony

Hello,

I contacted you last year in regards to bulk prices for the pibbs 514 stand dryer.

I am also a member of a hair care website and I have several 10+ individuals that are interested in purchasing the dryer.

My question is would you be able to offer a discount price if 10+ people will be ordering the pibbs 514 dryer from you?

The women would prefer to order the dryers themselves but it will be a bulk order.

Thank you,

Tatiana

Good Morning,

I wanted to know if you sell the above dryer at wholesale/distribution? I am looking to open a beauty supply store in New Jersey where it is hard to find quality hair products unlike when I was living in New York . I am looking to find a provider of the dryers for the long haul throughout the duration of my business.

Thank you,

Wow. you'd think he'd just want the business.

Anyway - LongHairLover - how do you like your dryer? do you think it works as well as the pibbs? i simply need something good. pibbs or not.

I would've thought he would jump on the deal and alot of women wanted to buy, honestly I just didn't like his tone (even in the email) and thought that his response was quite rude, I emailed him again and he didn't respond. and he's with imperial sales and there's another site too that he runs.

I contacted almost every vendor on the net and the prices were just not good enough especially if you have 60+ women that want to buy.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my dryer, the ionic feature really keeps my hair moist and super duper soft! I have never been under a pibbs to be honest, the dominican salons I use to go to when I was in nyc used no name dryers lmao! some of the dryers were old as hell too but got the job done. The guy at the bss said he sells the dryer I bought to salons in the area more than any other dryer, he sad the pibbs don't sell as much and i'm sure it's because of the price increase.

I have heard great things about the pibbs but to be honest I can't see myself spending almost 400 dollars for a dryer. I have done alot of comparisons in the dryer I bought and the pibbs at the bss's in nyc. And they are made with the same ol' cheap plastic the same just different vendors.

Even the dryer I bought has gone up in price it use to be 130 and I paid 160 at the bss they also have a none ionic version but I figured might as well get everything as long as it was under 300 dollars.

 I actually dont blame him for not wanting to do that group deal again. I saw all the issues that members had and I'm sure it was big headache.

Some were legit issues and some were just from impatient members who wanted the best deal available and were harrassing him on a daily basis for it. Asking him to go above and beyond.

I got mine from Bluebeez. Glad I didnt get into that group sale b/c of all the commotion going on that could have resulted in a delay of my own order.

^^oh so it was chaotic. that sucks.

bluebeez has the best price for it right now too and 319 is a good price considering. I like bluebeez too i've ordered from them several times and had good experiences.

^^Chaotic is an understatement. I followed the threads and was glad that I didnt make the purchase as I saw all the issues members started having.

I'm sure he LOST a lot of money dealing with us. The returns, the complaints, the daily harrassment...

And the volume. I'm sure they were only expecting like few hundred members to sign up right? (forgot the minimum) But we forget that the hair boards are FREE to lurk so i'm sure hundreds of people came out the woodwork for that deal and it overwhelmed him.

How easy that 200 orders can escalate to 1000+ over a couple weeks considering the number of lurkers we have and the word of mouth across ALL hair boards across the internet. That group sale will never happen again.

^^^ I remember also. Some complaints were legit, but others, well let's just say some people can't be pleased. A business transaction has to be win/win. If you know you'll be loosing money on a deal, why go through with it.

I don't think they were ready to deal with the volume of orders they got.

I feel for the member who would take on this project as a group deal. She'd have to open every box and test the product to make sure it is functioning well before distributing to the final member. So many members got broken dryers, you can't assume all dryers will be in good condition. I can see this as a logistical nightmare for bulk order.

please understand this is just my opinion - but regardless of the chaos and frustration, he's a business man and makes his living in sales, you have to deal with some jerks and some ignoramus like behavior on a daily basis in sales. that's just the nature of the business. it is sad that people may have mistreated him. poor etiquette is unacceptable no matter what.

however, i just want a good dryer that will get the rollersets dry. this will be my first dryer purchase and i wanna do it right. if that means i have to spend $350 - okay, so long as i spend 350 once, versus buying an okay $100 dryer and then having to buy 2 or 3 more over the course of the next few years. i keep hearing so much about pibbs so its in my mind that i MUST get a pibbs - that its the only dryer that'll work (since DLewis' magical marg simpson looking dryer is no longer available.) :(

if the pebco pro tools ed 2500 is good - as good as a pibbs - gets the job done - will last and does it all for $200 less, then that's a smart buy!

i just want a dryer darnit! :drunk:
