I finally tried Phytorelaxer this weekend after months of "thinking" about it. And let me tell yall, it is worth the hype and then some! In twenty years of relaxing may hair, I have never ever ever felt my hair with so much softness after a relaxer! Usually, my hair is somewhat hard feeling after a relaxer and I have to put stuff in it for days before it feels normal. But this time, my hair had so much shine, softness, and bounce! I had no burning and when I combed my hair, not one strand of hair left my scalp! Also, I have no flakyness or dry scalp like I usually do following a touch-up! This stuff is amazing. I went out to Bloomingdales over the weekend and got the Phytospecfics conditioner and hair balm (cant recall the name right now).

I too have been HOOKED...

It's a big keeper. I haven't thought of a another relaxer. All I'm thinking about is when I'm going to stock up on the relaxer.

Hey Dina,

That's great you found the perfect relaxer. Can I ask what relaxers you've used in the past?

Did you get the relaxing hair balm? I use it everyday, its da bomb.. I love phyto...After the relaxing it feels like I deep conditioned my hair, its soft and its moisturized. I heard the same thing about elucence.

This stuff is great. I just went past the one month mark since my first touch up with phyto. I wanted to use this as a guage because my only other experience with a no lye relaxer led to extreme dryness and intense tangling when washing. I've had neither of these problems with phyto.

well alright!!! another phytorelaxer user in the house!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!this product has to be phytotherathrie's biggest seller yet.....

Sweety, I have used Affirm in the past and lately, had been using Paul Mitchell relaxing system (another great relaxer but no where near Phyto!).

Princess I bought the Phytokarite Ultra Nourishing Conditioner and Phyto 7 Creme De Jour Hydratante. I saw the balm you referred to but did not get. I will be sure to check it out though!

Yes Sherry, another one has been hooked! We all ought to buy stock in this stuff!!!

:woot:Told ya so, told ya so, told ya told ya told ya so :yay: (I watch too much Will and Grace

I am glad you like it. I too was amazed at the difference in the feel of my hair after using it as well.

Phyto Pusha shoots and scores!!!! :lachen:

Okay now is this a lye or no-lye relaxer and where can I find it? I have'nt relaxed since sept. and I will not until after Feb.All my life I have been using gentle treatment no-lye and I was thinking of switching to something different.

Okay you guys have convinced me to get this relaxer. Does any with 4a/b use the index 1? If so, does is straighten your hair?

I know Sengschick uses it and her hair type is 3c/4a (I looked in her profile). Check her album and see her results. I know that she uses it mainly for a texturizer, but it appears to straighten her hair pretty well too.

Hi everyone, I have been away from the board for some time now. Every life and family issues took precedence.

I am a combination 3b, 3c, and 4a (yes, I have quite an assortment on top of my head) fine hair texture. I am considering this relaxer and I called one of the photorelaxer representatives, Corvin was his name, while he has here in my area. I told him my delima. I explained to him the different hair types on my head and I asked him could Index 2 on my hair. He told me to section each different my hair off according to type. Start off with the 4a, then the 3c and then do the 3b and edges last. He stated that I should be able to see the straightening effect on my hair. I have been natural for 5 years now and I was up until about 4-5 months ago, periodically pressing my hair. But my hair is now almost butt length and it is driving me crazy. I tried to press it a few months ago and it would not straighten at all. The best it would do is the 3b section just sort of an extremely loose wave to it. The 4a section just laughted at the pressing comb. So for the most part, I have been sporting a bun, a ponytail (got some fab hair jewelery) and slapping a wig (not an easy job) on my head when I want the straight hair look. My husband bought the Phytorelaxer 2 (3 boxes), the hypotimal hydration milk conditoner (2) , phyto 7 leave in (2) , phytorhum shampoo and phytomoelle mask (this is sold in europe only) for me for Christmas. I am trying to get up the courage to use the relaxer (sorry, I am chicken). But I have used the hypotimal hydration milk (I think that's the name of it). It is the last thing I use on my hair after I wash it. I leave it in for 3 minutes and rinse most of it out. It does leave my natural hair soft.

When I finally get up the nerve to use the other products I will let you guys know.

Ok, you are all making me want to try this. BUT my only fear is IS THE NEUTRALIZER THEY GIVE YOU ENOUGH??? How big is it? 4oz? 8oz? Can you get more if you want? Are any of you doing anything to the hair BEFORE you neutralize after you rinse the relaxer out?

The neutralizer is more than enough. Can you tell the size in this pic? The bottle on the left on top the relaxer is the neutralizer. It's a 4.22 oz bottle

You need more than that?

Neutralizer Shampoo...washed my hair 5 times with this, spilled a little and I still have half in the bottle.

Thanks for the info. about the neutralizer. One more question about it....if you run out (lol) can you use any other neutralizer?
It's not premixed so how many times can you use a kit? 2x? Is the relaxer (and activator) creme all in one container and you split it in two uses yourself or is it in 2 different containers? Thanks :)
