I read that lye relaxers are better for your hair but not the scalp and that
no-lye relaxers are better for you scalp but they tend to dry the hair out. I use Motions Regular Strength Relaxer so would it be a problem to switch to the phytorelaxer? TIA

It's no lye, but the base is different so you don't get the drying/breakage issues associated w/other no-lyes. If you search the forum you should be able to collect lots of recent info on the ingredients, conductor, etc.
