Question, ladies who wear the twist do you not have a problem w them getting frizzy, after the first day? If i wet them or appply any product later , i get frizzy twist that wnat to unravel. Does anyone else have this problem?

Not really. As I showed in my post, these is as frizzy as they get after 8 washes:

I don't apply product though. I shampoo, condition and ACV rinse using a squeezing motion and then let them drip dry. I think my twisting method helps keep the frizzies at bay. I try to demonstrate it here, but I'm going to go find Mook's Hair so she can link us to her youtube which shows the process better.

I love this thread. I've been experimenting with twists lately. I did my second set Sunday and unraveled them last night for a twist out. I'm going to do another set Saturday. I do them small with Quemet heavy cream and a gel. They looked good when I took them down but I have hand-in-hair syndrome so there ya go lol. Mine kind of just resemble coils. They don't really look like twists. I'll take pictures Saturday. Somebody told me to blow dry first or band for length but I don't manipulate my hair dry. I guess I'll just have coily twists.

Hey Girls.
I tried twisting my hair last weekend and was upset about the straightish ends ruining everything. Plus the roots were puffy, and it was just an official hot mess

I want some twist inspiration!

Can I see some photos of your fabulous twists, big and/or small....

How do you do yours? I just wash, moisturize and seal her ends.
Dry/Wet? Wet
How long do they last? A week
What products do you use? Castor oil, Scurl and whatever I decide to cowash or wash with that day!

And here are some pics of my normal twists. I've done them wet & moist. never dry. I usually incorporate some Hawaiian silky, or some Bee Mine Curly Butter or some conditioner or Mango Butter. And always some water.
I am still trying to discover my favorite technique.

I find parting with a comb not only makes the parts show but can also lead to permanent gaps so in the last few months of wearing twists, I was finger parting ie no comb. For my 3c front, i use perm rods to curl my waves to match the rest of my hair

What I do is a part from ear to ear and then use a the tail of a comb to do diagonal parts. From there I'll pick up the hair with no parting, but it seems to fall into place naturally.

i do them on wet and dry hair and both times they look ridiculous. the only time they look good is if i do really fat ones when i am doing a flat twistout, and then i only do 5 or 6 on my whole head. i want to do something like flat twists in the front and two-strand twists in the back, but i know the back would look like the ones i posted about in this thread:
