I guess after awhile, a person gets tired of updating their albums. Have you stopped updating yours? If so, why? I deleted my yahoo and all of my pics out of my fotki except for one. I remember I used to feel hurt when some of my favorite hair albums would go so long with no updates or when they deleted them completely, but now I see why.

I haven't updated mine because I haven't made any progress It seems I take 2 steps forward and 3 steps back

ill stop updating when i reach my goal,,, even now i feel like i should wait 2 months instead of updating every single month.. that way i can see more progress. cause it can sometimes feel like nothing major happened in the last 30 days newsworthy enough to post.

yeah, after a while the novelty of having a hair album kinda wears off. I let my premium subscription to fotki run out so my album is locked right now. I dont really see myself starting another one. but who knows....

Yea it does get old LOL! I don't plan to update until I reach my goal and even then I will only keep 2 or 3 photos in my album.

Hey y'all... I've got a different spin on this one: I have had a Fotki space for nearly 8 months and had never set-up an album! I finally did set up one album just this week. But I hear what y'all are sayin'. The thing of it is, for those of us who are just starting out or need inspiration, y'all's albums are essential. It's really a blessing to read/see that someone else is having similar issues and has had a similar experience, then see how they handled it.

So, thank all of y'all for the time and effort you spend on your albums and accompanying information. It is invaluable!

I think I'll keep mine up for a while, it serves to motivate me as well (looking at where I've come from). Only problem like now is with my schedule and prioritizing my training, my hair is not the focus of my attention. I don't spend as much time pampering as I do when it's off season training time. I still update but not as regularly as I'd like to.

But, I can see there will come a point where my hair album will be more of a novelty and less of a necessity.

My fitness album will ALWAYS be there!

I try to update atleast once a month....it keeps me motivated, and thats the only way i see progress

I created my fotki during my senior year of highschool. I updated it constantly and felt like my hair was growing sooo slowly. But during my 1st year of college I hardly had time to update, and actually stopped looking at my hair so much. When I finally updated this summer I realized my hair DOES grow at a good pace, and that makes me want to update less b/c it's more noticable that way.

I am trying to keep mine updated at least for a year, but I don't see myself keeping it updated much longer. My one year mark will be this July and after that I am not sure if I will keep it up.

I don't have album anymore. On the one hand it causes inspiration for other members but sometimes members use those pictures as a chance to joke on folks. I keep track of my progress for me. I occasionally change my avatar or signature as an update. I decided to not have a public album anymore. There are lots of great folks on the internet. You do have the undesirables who talk junk on other boards about members who claim they are 3a but are really 4z. You have people who make fun of member's avatars and claim they have weaves. I just don't want to feed into the cattines of it all. The final straw for me is that people will copy your pic and sometimes put it on other websites. Some folks have too much time on their hands. erplexed

Girl I really agree w/ you on this one! I haven't updated my album in such a long while! i don't feel like doing it. I have it locked now, w/ a ton of photos in my camera that need to be uploaded, and posted. I just don't feel like doing it. I am not spending as much time on the net anyways. I figure that I will eventually update.

So you DO understand how I feel. So does this mean that you will be updating soon cause you album alone with those buns you do with the twists are what made me go natural in the first place. You should've seen my face when you started that thread...maxiglide is your baby's daddy . I saw that picture and start scrolling

I plan to keep my album 4 the newbies. I mainly kept it because I have so many personal photos stored on fotki and I don't want to loose them. I took advantage of that renewal promo so it'll be here for a while

Welll Brneyed and Bubln... I felt a pnag of dispair when I saw your ablums were closed. Some people are legends and when they go away we all miss out. On the other hand. I understand. I used to update every month but I recently made soem quick moves and my computer is in storage so no more updates for me for awhile... I will keep my album until I hit goal then Im downsizing to a free account.

You know, I always wanted to know this! I seen some beautiful heads of hair but they haven't updated since like 05! I am like 'I bet she is butt length by now" lol.

I will always keep my fotki and update it often. Just because it gives me some order when it comes to my hair routine. I also like to see my progress. But that all boils down to why I opened my fotki in the first place, FOR ME.

You know what else, I wonder why a lot of people with those beautiful heads don't post their regimens or products in their fotkis?...
